Paws Here Canine Services offers multiple training programs to suit your needs, budget, and schedule. Have a look through our training programs and give us a call if you need a hand deciding which one is best for your dog!

Our standard group classes cover the basics for many dogs and puppies! We offer group Puppy class for dogs under 6 months of age, and Manners classes for dogs over 6 months of age at the start of class. These classes are meant to be a starting point to get you and your dog some ideas and training plans for working through daily tasks. In our classes we cover how dogs learn, how to set them up for success, and begin the sit, down, walking nicely, taking treats nicely, go to place, recall, stay, handling, and more! These classes are not meant to solve aggressive, reactive, or anxious problems with your pup and we stick to our curriculum for class. Help that is needed outside the scope of the class will need to be booked through a different training program.  

These classes are just under one hour each, and there are 6 classes in total. The first class you attend without your dog and we give you homework and instruction on things to do with your dog at home to set you up to succeed in class with your dog for the following five classes. Puppy class also includes a short off leash play time for the pups to help show proper play behavior.

We have tested the twice per week classes and LOVE how the dogs progress with more consistency. As a result we're going to continue to teach our Manners & Puppy classes in this format.

Puppy class will be from 7:45-8:45 pm 

First Class will be April 7th at 7:00 pm for all handlers only.

We are excited to bring back our tracking class for the spring of 2024. This class will teach you and your dog the art of following a track, alerting to articles, and problem solving natural challenges along the way. Dogs do not have to have any particular obedience or skills to be accepted into class, but they do need to be contained in your vehicle between turns. 

This class takes place outside, 25 km west of Prince Albert. If we get extreme weather we will postpone but generally dress for the weather and we will continue with class through mild rain/wind/etc. This class often runs 2+ hours, and though you don't need to stay to watch everyone work through, it is beneficial to observe the other teams in class. 

There is no age minimum or maximum for this class, puppies are welcome to attend as are older dogs. The main requirement is that your dog is either food or toy motivated outside in new environments. Class will run 6 weeks, and cost is $225.00 per team plus GST. 

Our head start program is a combination of daycare and training. A total of 8 days will have your dog integrated into the daycare for play and also pulled out of play to do some basic training, handling, and field trips. Find out more on the headstart page! 

Our headstart program is taking a break through the month of January and will be back up and running in February 2024. Please fill out a form on the headstart page below to be added to our February student list! 

If you need a little more training than our classes and head start program offer we do have two board and train options where the dog stays with us an extended period of time and we do the bulk of the work!
