With our new facility and the plans we have, we're needing a few more people to help keep up to the dogs.
We are currently looking for two part time people, with potential for full time as things progress through the summer.
Position 1 is for mornings, 7:00 am-11:00 am Monday-Friday. This job entails the desk side of dog intake, as well as handling dogs to get them to the back. Once
intake is complete around 9:00 am duties shift to sharing cleaning and care responsibilities of the daycare dogs. As well as keeping up on emails, texts, bookings, and phone calls. This job requires
computer skills (we will train you on our booking system) and also includes the physical aspect of handling large (typically excited) dogs.
Position 2 is for afternoons/evenings/some weekends. This is a casual position that will deal with mostly the dog side of things, with minor computer work. This job encompases cleaning, supervising and care of our daycare and boarding dogs. Typical hours will be in the afternoons and some evenings, as well as some weekend hours.
Though the jobs focus on different areas of the day and business, there are some common requirements. Any applicants must be completely reliable. Our clients depend on the doors being open on time, and the dogs need consistent care every single day. If you have unreliable transportation, or a lifestyle that doesn't speak to being reliable, this job will not be suited to you.
Both jobs require someone who can learn how things are done, and follow them without needing a lot of oversight. So applicants must be able to remember directions and have the initiative to take care of something even if they are not directly told or it's not on a to do list.
While these two part time jobs could make up one full time position, it would require a split shift. If this is something that interests you, please include that in your email.
Both these jobs start at $12.00 per hour, for now. As we have just moved and have opened in our new location the goal is for everyone on board to progress in skills and pay as we are able. While experience is helpful, we are willing to train the right candidates.
Your first skill test is reading this thoroughly and following directions. Interested applicants must understand that while the jobs with dogs are fun in many ways, the reality is most of the work is cleaning and refereeing dogs. It is a job where you will get dirty, and bumped, and need to move quickly sometimes. It should go without saying that you must be very, very comfortable around dogs. If you're interested in an interview please send your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org . Yes, you need a resume, a long note about why you'd be the greatest choice with no work experience or references will not be sufficient. However, feel free to add any information along with your resume that you feel may be a benefit to our considerations. We are looking to add these new positions as soon as possible so we will be contacting those who we are interested in interviewing quickly.
