Manners Classes!

Level one of the manners class is a great introduction to a mindful, mannered dog. Start on the basics of obedience and simple ideas such as greeting new people politely, waiting at door ways or stairs, and the foundation sit, down, stand, left, right, and recall.

Level two is an extention of level one where you will be refining the skills you started with in level one. There will be more challenges for the dog and handler, some off leash work if your dog is ready, and the addition of new skills. We are so excited to re-vamp the level two class to run as a "Beyond The Backyard" Class. Beyond The Backyard is a brand new book written by Denise Fenzi that picks up exactly where our Manners 1 class, and Puppy class, end. Here is the run down of the book;

"You are a dedicated pet owner who has put considerable time and energy into training your dog.  As a result, your dog has a reliable set of behaviors such as sit, down, stay and a recall - under pristine conditions.  But now you’re stumped; you’re not too sure how to get those behaviors away from home and off leash - in short; when you really need cooperation!

This book will help you gain cooperation under a range of circumstances and with only about ten minutes of training time per day!  This book will take you through a systematic and comprehensive plan to get you where you want to be; with a reliable companion who cooperates off leash, away from home and….when other things are going on around you!"

The book will be included in the class and be yours to keep!

Both levels will run 6 weeks and start regularily, if you take level one or puppy class and want to move onto level two it is recommended to do it within three months of finishing level one.

Our next full set of Manners Level 1 classes will begin the evening of Thursday November 1st. This class is one hour in length, for six consecutive weeks and is priced at $145.00 for the set.

Week 1 class you will come without your dog for our "How Dogs Learn" seminar and your homework to take home and start with your pup.

Our following set of classes will begin January 2019
